Ingredients:
1/2 cup of ground sesame (50 g)
1/4 cup of whole sesame (25 g)
1/2 cup ground coconut (50g)
1 cup of flour (250 g)
1 finely chopped onion
1 egg
1/4 cup of oil
1Teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of sweet paprika
1/4 teaspoon cumin
3/4 cup of water
Oil for deep frying
preparation:
Put the chopped onion in a strainer for about an hour and squeeze well to remove all the fluids
Mix all the ingredients well until getting a soft and flexible texture of the dough
Roll out the dough on a well floured surface to a thickness of 2 mm
Use a glass or a cutter, to create circles with a diameter of 8 cm
with a small bottle cap, cut a hole in the middle of each circle
Fry in oil on both sides for few minutes until golden brown color, and remove to absorbent paper or mesh
Cool and then put in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
